Obama Betrays Israel, Sides With the Enemy

Today, we observed something that I don’t think most of us ever thought we would see:  a President of the United States telling Israel that it should be exterminated from the face of the Earth.

That is what “withdrawing to the 1967 borders” means, since those borders are absolutely indefensible. They would leave an Israel a mere 8 miles wide, a ribbon of land from the eastern shore of the Mediterranean to the foothills of the mountain slopes from which Hamas and Hezbollah would rain down rockets. Her enemies would waste no time in attempting to divide the northern and southern sections, and in so dividing Israel conquer her.

More than that, Obama displays a stunning moral blindness.

•  He expects Israel to make all the concessions when it’s the Palestinians who’ve perpetrated unconscionable mass murder through all their terrorist bombings of innocent civilians. It’s that blood-drenched track record that has put them where they are, in a situation that they brought entirely upon themselves via their own savagery.

They’ve clearly demonstrated time and again that whenever they’re given the chance, they will instantly and instinctively attack the nearest Jew. That, and that alone, is why their freedom of movement and so forth has been curtailed – so they can’t get that chance. Once they demonstrate that they’re actually capable of civilized behavior at level somewhere above Neanderthal, then perhaps things can change. I understand that you can’t really prove a negative, but at this point the benefit of the doubt is something that for the Palestinians is a long, LONG way from even being worth considering, much less deserved.

•  Obama expects that the Palestinians will be satisfied and live up to their obligations in return when they’ve never lived up to anything ever. They still call for Israel’s destruction in their charter, have never acknowledged her right to exist, and still brainwash their children in school to become martyrs for the cause. The only thing that giving them half of Israel will do is whet their appetite for the other half. They’ll see their extremist strategy as having been successful and “double down” rather than settle. (Much like Obama himself, domestically.)

• Obama ignores the fact that the land that would become “Palestine” was lost in the 1967 Yom Kippur war when the Arabs attacked Israel. Had they not done so, those might well still be the borders today. Meaning that the Palestinians lost that land fair and square and have no claim whatsoever to it. If they want it, they should go to war again. Of course, since Israel kicked their asses before and would surely do so again, they know they have to get it another way. If the American President stabbing Israel in the back accomplishes it, that works just as well for them.

About the only good thing to come from this steaming pile is that Obama has shown who he really is, once and for all: a radical Muslim operative. As I wrote in my column of March 29 (Obama’s Foreign Policy? Support the Enemy), Obama has consistently supported the most radical Muslim element in each and every Middle Eastern nation. Without fail, he has opposed America’s best interests and done everything possible to help her enemies. What many are calling the “Arab Spring” is really a coordinated effort by the Muslim Brotherhood to gradually restore a regional caliphate where sharia law would reign supreme.

And Obama is helping them every way he can. He’s funding them in Egypt by sending our tax dollars to pay off their debts, and he’s aiding their uprisings in Libya and Syria. (Though in Libya, he’s at least doing so fecklessly and incompetently.) He ignored the Iranian mullahs’ butchery of their own young people, in the one legitimate revolution that would yield a western-friendly, non-radical regime. Now he flagrantly betrays one of America’s closest allies, under the cover of a small popularity boost in the wake of Bin Laden’s killing. (Could information on his whereabouts have been the payoff? Don’t naively presume that this timing is a coincidence.)

This despicable act has raised the ante much further, for in demanding that Israel accept indefensible borders, he is effectively demanding their annihilation. Obama has shown that his Muslim heart is filled with the same anti-Semitic hate that fills so many others, as they attempt to finish Hitler’s “final solution.”  It’s ironic that the man whose most rabid supporters stupidly and hysterically linked George W. Bush to the Nazi dictator, turned out to be so much like him.

Obama is a hardcore follower of both of the twin pillars of totalitarianism:  Marxism and radical Islam. Both big government and sharia law presume to dictate every last detail of every individual’s life, down to the tiniest detail. Both merge an almost blind faith with a political system – thus making them lethal in that they leave no area of life uncontrolled by their near-infinite power. That’s why they find common cause, despite obvious differences. (The left’s mistake is in thinking that once their common enemies are gone, that Islam won’t turn on it immediately thereafter. If nothing else, the feminist and gay lobbies would surely be history.)

And it’s why they want to destroy anybody who stands for democracy over dictatorship, individual freedom and personal liberty over authoritarian rule – especially Judeo-Christian founded nations like America and Israel that shine the light of truth like a beacon and expose the lies inherent in both totalitarian belief systems.  (Despite what the far left thinks, it’s not the believers in Him who said to “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s” who are trying to establish a global theocracy. We should do quite the opposite, in fact, if we are to follow that teaching.)

Obama is the enemy inside the gates, and he’s not really even trying to hide it. He hates America, hates Israel, wants the former greatly reduced and the latter wiped out. We will rue the day that 70 million “Americans” were stupid and blind enough to elect a President about whom we knew nothing and for whom the media was completely in the tank and ran cover.

November 2012 simply cannot get here fast enough. We can only hope that the massive damage Obama is deliberately inflicting isn’t irreparable.  And if we accept another four years of this, knowing what we now know about our communist Muslim traitor-in-chief, then I truly fear for both our nation and the world…and will start believing that the events of Revelation are nigh at hand. Tribulation, indeed.
