Hezbollah Calls to Expel Syrian and Palestinian Refugees

basselThis is one of those heartwarming stories that are perfect for this time of year.

Gebran Bassil is the Lebanese Energy Minister and a close ally of the Shiite Hezbollah terrorist group due to his place in Aoun’s Free Patriotic Movement, which is neither free nor patriotic, but is a Christian sock puppet for Hezbollah. Bassil has that place because he’s the treasonous Aoun’s son-in-law, and that led to Bassil becoming the energy minister in a Hezbollah government.

Bassil met with a State Department official under Obama, even though the US is supposed to be isolating Hezbollah, but Obama Inc. doesn’t exactly believe in isolating terrorists. The official he met with was Wendy Sherman, the former president of Fannie Mae, and the 3rd highest ranking official in the State Department, to discuss… the Syrian crisis.

Hezbollah is busy fighting in Syria on behalf of the Assad government. But meanwhile Lebanon is being flooded by Syrian refugees, over 150,000 of them, a sizable number of whom are Sunnis. Certainly the vast majority of the Palestinian Arab refugees are Sunni.

You can see where this is going. Bassil is the sock puppet of a sock puppet for Hezbollah, a Shiite movement. The last thing it wants is more Sunnis upsetting the balance in Lebanon.

Energy Minister Gebran Bassil has called on the government to expel Syrian and Palestinian refugees who have flooded into Lebanon to flee the fighting in Syria

‘When we say we do not want Syrian and Palestinian refugees to take our place, this matter should be implemented in deeds and not in words. With their presence, work and earning their living, they [refugees] are taking the place of the Lebanese,’ Bassil said in a speech Saturday at a ceremony launching the Lebanese Wine Day to be organized in France on May 16, 2013.

‘How can the Syrian curriculum be taught in some schools in Lebanon? Where are our sovereignty and dignity in this matter?’ Bassil said, adding: ‘Is there any country in the world that teaches the curriculum of another country on its territory? Isn’t it enough for us the Palestinians [who are already] in Lebanon, for the rest of [Palestinian] camps to come to Lebanon too?’

Wine day, it just isn’t what it used to be.

But nobody really wants the Palestinian Arabs because the Arab world turned them into living weapons in a war against Israel, and that makes them dangerous and unstable. Besides they’re mostly Sunnis and on top of all that, there’s some rather ugly history involving them in Lebanon. But Bassil does have a point. Just not a very good one coming from a man who helped a movement run by Iran take control of Lebanon. Where is the national dignity in that?

Bassil wants Turkey, Jordan and Iraq to take them, at which all three countries burst out laughing. Despite originally being Palestine, the last thing Jordan wants is most Palestinian Arabs. The Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood, which is trying to overthrow the Hashemite Kingdom, draws most of its support from Palestinian Arabs, who are disenfranchised there. Iraq is on the brink of civil war and Turkey is not an Arab country. The last thing it wants is more non-Turks in its borders.

The Middle East is racist, in that classic Apartheid way that Israel is usually accused of being. That means the West will have to bail out the refugees, which it is already doing.

The Lebanese government wants 178 million dollars to care for refugees displaced by their own Syrian allies and the money is coming in. Because Western countries are run by idiots even dumber than Gebran Bassil.
