Prof. Gerald Steinberg, president of NGO Monitor said: "Mr. Danby's contributions to our board are greatly valued. He brings vast experience and knowledge of the political sphere and will help increase our unique impact as providing checks and balances for political NGOs around the world."

Mr. Danby said the following about NGO Monitor: "NGOs claiming a humanitarian focus are political entities whose words carry weight in the international arena. As such, their true goals, motivations, objectivity, and sources of funding should be scrutinised. Just as politicians are held accountable for their views, so should other political entities, such as NGOs."
