Wife of teen terror accused Sameh Bayda charged with failure to answer questions

The teenage wife of terror accused Sameh Bayda has been denied bail for refusing to answer questions about an alleged terror plot on home soil involving explosives and guns.

Alo-Bridget Namoa, 18, faced court today charged with 31 counts of refusing to answer questions during a Crime Commission interrogation about alleged plans she and husband Sameh Bayda had to execute an attack in Sydney.

Counter Terrorism Police allege the pair had communicated via text about an attack, comparing themselves to Bonnie and Clyde and discussing life after death.

Two female supporters of Sameh Bayda outside Parramatta Court.

Police also allegedly found graphic photos on her mobile phone of beheadings and executions along with a knife wrapped in a Shahada flag in her handbag.

Bayda is in Goulburn Supermax after his arrest last week over allegations he collected documents on how to carry out a stabbing and make a bomb.

Namoa, who converted to Islam before marrying Bayda in December, appeared in Parramatta Court today via video link dressed in a full burqa.
