The World Zionist Congress is holding elections for delegates to represent 40 countries at it′s meeting June 19-22nd, 2006 in Jerusalem. In order to have a say about the kind of decisions the WZC will be making on behalf of Jewish people, we need to enrol to vote and (of course) to find out what the different delegates stand for. You can also nominate a candidate or be a candidate yourself. But first you must be a registered voter.
This is a very important responsibility as it will affect decisions made at the WZC about anti-semitism and Jewish rights, peace and security, Israel-diaspora relations, education and identity and so on. To find out more about this Congress go to this website: http://congressofthejewishpeople.com/platforms.html.
To register to vote online go to: www.zfa.com.au or request a manual registration form from the Zionist Federation of Australia Ltd on: 9272 5644.
To register there is a $10 fee.
I urge Jewish readers who are concerned with the direction of Jewish identity, continuity and the integrity and security of Israel to have a say in these issues and vote!
