Racist comments from Labor MP

Israel and Hezbollah:

Most fair minded and rational thinking people throughout the world would be horrified at the television images emanating from Lebanon and Israel over the past few weeks. Most fair and rational people would not deny Israel’s right to defend itself against any act of aggression - large scale or small.

But, fair-minded and rational people must be questioning Israel’s motives and response to an act of aggression by Hezbollah, a terrorist organisation based in Lebanon. Israel’s defence spokesmen have constantly stated that that the dispute is between Israel and Hezbollah, not the Lebonese nation or its people.

If that’s the case why have hundreds of innocent Lebanese civilians been slaughtered during Israels feroucious retaliation. Why have large subhurbs in Lebanese cities been decimated? Why was Beirut’s major airport attacked and rendered inoperable? Why have Lebanon’s major Television stations and other communications facilitys been destroyed? Why was it nessesary to destroy ambulances carrying wounded civilians seeking medical asistance? Why were four unarmed members of a United Nations observation force slain?

Its obvious that Israel’s retaliation is specifically directed at Lebanon’s infrastructure and economy with the associated loss of hundreds of innocent lives that is always inetivable in this tragic situation.

The jewish people are among the most persecuted race of people on earth, but the cause of retaining a permanent and secure homeland for the people of Israel must have suffered significant damage in the eye’s of fair minded and rational people because of Israel’s massive and brutal overeaction to what can only be described as a dispicable, but relatively minor initial act of aggression by a terrorist organisation.
