boycott

13 March 2007 11:32

I had a strange telephone call a minute ago from a junior official of the SZC who wanted to know which boycott I was referring to. He wanted to reassure me that the SZC was not boycotting us, and probably

"the reason for the lack of media coverage Sunday night was simply that the Professor's words and Mark Durie's words were not newsworthy. Ralph, did you ever consider that?"

This is what we're up against.

The proposition that the SZC had put some kind of boycott on the media coverage was bizarre to me. Even though the SZC official had rung me to deny such a thing, he introduced the idea into my head. As my late father used to say: 'Oifn ganev brent dos hittl'.
