Manchester branch of AUT correspondence

Well done Manchester!!

So much for the accusation that the Manchester branch failed because of "interference".

Good luck on Thursday and thanks for your terrific leadership on this issue. Best wishes and thanks to all those Manchester branch people who have been so persistent on this and who have emerged with this great result.

Subject: Today's meeting

The news is good. Our delegation has been mandated to support motions 1&2, calling for a ballot of members, and, best of all & by one vote, for motion 3, which calls for the rescinding of the boycott resolutions. Mandating means one must either vote for, which 4 of us will do, or at least abstain, which probably 6 members of the delegation will do.(This does also mean that on the motion to boycott Ariel the 4 of us can abstain, & hope the meeting will throw it out anyway). Wish us luck on Thursday!

Best

Harry
