In May 2011 the village of Battir in Judea, called “occupied Palestinian territory”, won the “Safeguarding and Management of Cultural Landscapes” award from the United Nations’cultural agency, UNESCO. Now the UN has informed the Palestinian Authority that it will accelerate the process of recognizing the ancient terraces near the village of Battir as a “world heritage site”.
These terraces are the oldest in the Biblical Judean Hills and if the Palestinian Arabs’ strategy succeeds, the place is expected to be recognized as both a natural and a human heritage site, which is very rare (only five sites worldwide received such recognition).
UNESCO is pursuing a diabolical Arabized geography which opens the door to a Jüdenrein Judea, a de-Judaized “holy land”, as the anti-Semitic semanticists call it.
But the attack on language is more than semantic. If it’s Jewish, then it’s called “Judea and Samaria”. If it’s “West Bank” or “Palestine”, those are justifications for saying that “Jews stole it”. And the Palestinian Arabs, whose members came to the holy land from the Arabian desert in the 7th century, become the descendants of the long-disappeared, so-called “indigenous Canaanites” of the Bible.
That's why a few days ago Irina Bokova, head of UNESCO, sent a message to the Palestinian Authority “on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the PalestinianPeople”,in which she proclaims the support for "thePalestinian cultural industry".
Battir, however, is not “a Palestinian village” with an old irrigation system, it’s the holy site of the ancient Jewish fortress of Betar, the site of the last organized resistance of the Jews to Roman rule in 135 C.E. during the historically documenteed Bar Kochba rebellion.
But in the UNESCO protocols there is no mention of Betar.
According to the UNESCO-Palestinian Authority joint venture, Eretz Yisrael is a myth, a colonialist construct, a Jewish plot. UNESCO’s next steps are underto take place under Israel’s nose: very soon the Temple Mount, the Dead Sea Scrolls, Joseph’s Tomb and the Shalom al Israel synagogue will be designated as “mosques” by the UN’s agency.
Slapping history squarely in the face, UNESCO has already adopted the Arab-islamic propaganda and declared that Rachel’s Tomb and Hevron’s Cave of the Patriarchs are “Muslim mosques”.
In a report on science, UNESCO forcibly converted the Jewish physician Maimonides to Islam, calling him “Moussa ben Maimoun”. We read in UNESCO's report: “After the recovery of Toledo from the Moors by the Crusaders in 1085, European scholars flocked there to translate the ancient classical texts from the Greek (which Europe had forgotten) to Arabic and Hebrew and Latin, making it the first part of the European Middle Ages (1100-1543). The names of some European scholars appeared in scientific literature next to a large number of Muslim scholars, including Ibn Rushd (Averroes), Maimouna Ibn Moussa (Maimonides), Tousi and Ibn Nafis”.
This is not the well known anti-Zionism that we expect from the United Nations. This is a consistent pattern of the denial of Jewish history. In other words, it’s UN-sanctioned anti-Semitism.
Through the UNESCO membership, the Palestinians are also trying to put together a case to take Israel to the International Court of Justice in The Hague to condemn the Israeli excavations in Jerusalem as “war crimes and crimes against humanity”. This is the most severe calumny that was directly connected to the deaths of dozens of Israelis and Palestinians during the so-called “Western Wall Tunnel riots” of 1995.
In recent years, UNESCO increased its collaboration with Isesco, the cultural body of the Organization of the Islamic Conference based in Saudi Arabia. A few days ago, Isesco announced its plan to register “Al Quds” as a world heritage site and UNESCO has already designated Jerusalem as “capital of Arab culture,” working with Palestinian Authority officials and key Arab figures to protest against what they described as “the Israeli occupation of Holy Jerusalem”. Other cities granted the title over the years were Algiers, Damascus, Cairo, Tunis, Amman, Beirut and Khartoum.
UNESCO recently voted to list of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem as Palestine’s first“World Heritage Site”. The Palestinization of Jesus, with the corollary of an Arabicized Christianity, is one of the most lethal and mendacious weapons in the Arabs’ war against the Jewish State.
The Arab economic pressure inside the UN’s agency is growing at an alarming rate.
Recently, Saudi Arabia donated 20 million dollars to UNESCO. Then Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah was awarded UNESCOs Gold Medal for “enhancing the culture of dialogue and peace”. The dejudaization of Jerusalem is the logical step on the anti-Zionist agenda to delegitimize Israel.
If it can be "proven" to the international community that Jerusalem is “the Palestinian capital”, then the enemies of Israel, including the liberal left, the Jewish self haters, large segments of Christianity and Islamism, will have justified the eradication of the Jewish people.
Seventy years ago the “Germanization” preceded the “spoliation” of the conquered territories in Europe. Now it’s the turn of the “Arabization” which precedes the“liberation” of the holy land.
UNESCO is the proof that Joseph Goebbels, who said that a lie repeated often enough becomes truth, has been able to brainwash the world into accepting the Nazi principle of“Jüdenrein”.

"Israel and Jerusalem, that tiny sliver of land, has been fought over and seen more blood spilled over its land than any other bit of land in the history of mankind . From the days of the Assyrians and Babylonians, fast forwarding to the Ottomans and the accursed British Mandate, she has never been owned by any other power, only ruled over .Throughout history She has always been recognized as a Jewish country and always had Jews living on her land. Now we have the 'Palestinians' with 'useful idiots' (Western Media and Left Leaning Loony Academics)as their foot soldiers marching to the gates of Jerusalem. Enough I say.Let the Jews rebuild Israel as their rightful G-d given home with Jerusalem as her capital. Let her hills and valleys be the haven on earth where Jews can live in peace, and raise their children in safety. Let the world know this is a Jewish home and its ownership is not negotiable.Lets realize our potential to bring the Maschiach."

The fact that so many of these places have names which are corruptions of Hebrew and mean nothing in Arabic, should be telling, but clearly nobody cares. Batir/Betar is a good example. Al-Quds means 'the far place' but now Jerusalem is so so so Holy and close to the hearts of the Muslims. Meanwhile thousands of years of Jewish liturgy and yearning for Jerusalem- at weddings, after the Seder, after Yom Kippur, in daily prayers, in Grace after meals- counts for nothing. And the worst part is that the Israelis let it happen; the ones who protest are called 'settlers' and fanatics and are persona non grata in fine Tel Aviv society, and are called the obstacle to peace in the ME. If I forget thee, O Jerusalem...
